Seems like the RIAA has struck again. This was found on the abouve link on Monday, May 28th, 2007.
“Where is the Red Jazz Podcast?
A lot of people have emailed us asking why the Red Jazz podcast is “off the air”. The reason is best reflected in a January 18, 2007 article in the New York Times on the arrest of mixtape icon DJ Drama. A quote from the article states “most of DJ Drama’s mixtapes begin with enthusiastic endorsements from the artists themselves”. Such was the case for the Red Jazz podcast, but we felt the uncertainty of the position on podcasting from the RIAA, ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC was not worth the risk of continuing the show. Thank you all for your support and please enjoy the other fine jazz podcasts listed in our directory.”
