That was great! Thanks for the new Griddlesode. I’ll be sure to stop off at iTunes and leave a review.

I don’t get it. Why would another, less-than-family-friendly podcast want to have the same name as the long-running podcast you host? If your listeners are “stupid” for enjoying your show, why would they take the risk of being associated with you? Certainly they did a search to see if anyone else was using the name, right? I just don’t see the point—unless, of course, they are just vandals. I never really understood them either.

Thanks for keeping them comin’, Ron. Love the show!

Sounds like an incursion from an alternate evil universe to me!

Do people still use FILM?  There’s a technology that I’m sad to see go away… ah well.

Good show AS USUAL.  Everyone of your faithful listeners should go to iTunes right now and set things right if possible!

Great Show and I am hooked.  I can relate to the camera story and my experience with my father suggesting the Canon AE-1 and of course it had to use the canon lenses.

Another great show Ron. And the other show? Well, I’m glad they changed their name but am sorry their fans took action against your podcast. Can’t we all just get along?

My first “real” camera was a Canon AE-1 and my dad owned a Canon. It follows--he majored in Engineering and so did I, he was an Electrical Engineer and so was I. Dad’s little girl, eh?

My first camera was a Brownie box that used 120 film, remember that! My first 35mm was a Russian Zenith E, now that was one tough piece of optics!
I couldent afford a Nikon so I ended up with a Minolta, had it for over 20 years now still works great!
As always love the show, and I have placed my review at iTunes.
Tanks for the wonderful stories Ron!

Sorry to hear about the issue with the other podcast. I listen at work and am greatful for programs that are “work safe.” It also helps that you’re a great story teller. I wish I could think of something to make a podcast about! I don’t have itunes so I don’t think I can leave a review but thought I’d offer my “pat on the back” this way.

Just so it is known, I cannot speak for the entire “other podcast’s” community, but the same name was just coincidence. Also, they other podcast is not bad by any means. It is very enjoyable, especially if you like some off-beat humor, even if there is some mild cursing. And I am kind of sad that my community attacked yours, but I am not going to apologize, because I did not take part in it.

Testimonials"

There are very few podcasts that I would put into the 'must listen to as soon as they arrive' category, but griddlecakes is definitely one of them. The past couple of stories have had me thinking back to my own childhood, remembering both old friends, and lost loves. Seeing how my part of the world (east coast of Canada) is very big on tradition, and storytelling is a major part of that, it's been very refreshing to find good clean stories being told, without the need to inject profanity just to emphasize a point.-- Scott (Canada)
