Ah ah! You confirmed my suspicion that there is a conspiracy to make us “outsiders” look silly when attempting to pronounce Quincy, Worcester, and of course Gloucester. I’m sure there are others, but you probably shouldn’t reveal them all to us. (As if I wouldn’t be identified immediately as a West coast native.)

I know what you mean about food tasting better because of the folks you’re eating with and the adventure you’ve just completed. My family here in England conquered getting our vacation rented barge through at least 20 locks before complete darkness of night took over. We moored and sat enjoying our leaftover-BBQ, laughing about our little adventure. What it was exactly that made the food so good?
